Here are just some of the many local attractions including beaches, things to see and do and places to go. (Mileage in brackets indicate the distance from Dolwilym)

Beaches

Travel to the Pembrokeshire coastline in 30 mins which features some of the cleanest most beautiful beaches in the UK .  Go north to Popitt Sands or head South to Manorbier, a few more are detailed below:

  • Pembrokeshire beach guide
  • Freshwater West (31 miles), great for surfing, not so good for swimming
  • Pendine beach, famed as the longest beach in europe as featured on top gear  (20 miles)
  • Newport Sands is a delightful family friendly beach, close to the small town of Newport which has many great cafes and restaurants. (15 miles)
  • Whitesands beach (37 miles) is good for surfing and swimming. Go to the Ramsay Sound on the full moon to experience a truly awesome tidal run.
  • Broadhaven beach, a great surf beach on the right day (30 miles)
  • Newgale beach, surf beach (27 miles)
  • Popitt Sands near St Dogmaels, which is near Cardigan is a lovely family beach (14 miles)
  • The Witches Cauldron at Molygrove is a gem.

Walking

No need to drive anywhere to go on a lovely walk:

  • Take a picturesque walk along the river Taf just minutes from the front door.
  • Across the river will take you to the nearby Cromlech, Gwal-Y-Filiast

There are many stunning walks to be had on and around the Preseli Hills part of the Pembrokeshire National Coastal Park.  Ranging from short strolls to long hikes. The Preseli Hills and National park start just a few miles away from Dolwilym.

There is the famous and gorgeous Pembrokeshire Coast National Trail, from St Dogmaels (14 miles away) in the north to Amroth (15 miles away) in the south.

Recording Studio

There is great surfing to be had at Freshwater West and Whitesand beaches (above)
Broadhaven and Newgale are good to hire out surfing equipment

Cycling

There are some great routes around pembrokeshire and carmarthenshire for cycling.

Sustrans have set up their routes2ride in wales website. Local routes include Saundersfoot to Stepaside and Cardigan to Cilgerran.
